Artist Study - Kandinsky

Today, Ms. Green started a new art project with my students. It is based on Kandinsky.
Their warm-up sheet
Ms. Green's Wassily Kandinsky board
Lots and lots of pre-cut felt circles
These projects will be 3-D. The trees will have stands (like the support behind a picture frame).
Wassily Kandinsky is considered the father of abstract art. Today, Ms. Green, the art teacher at the school where I teach, started a project with my students based on Kandinsky's concentric circles. The students will be making trees out of cardboard, covering them with newspaper to make them more visually interesting, and adding felt Kandinsky-esque circles.
