Gemma usually sleeps in until after I’ve left for work, but Tuesday and Wednesday she woke up before I had gotten out the door. Tuesday’s crack-of-dawn question was “So, what’s a government shutdown?” Wednesday she wanted to know what elements are in fire (because, she said, some people call fire an element when it’s not).
